Rob began his career managing small gyms in the 80's, and began working as a personal trainer at the Indianapolis Athletic Club before the term was ever coined. He opened Fitness by Design in 1989 on Meridian Street and adopted the 30 minute High Intensity Strength Training protocol working all the major muscle groups to momentary muscle failure. In 2004 we created and opened the space we now call home. Throughout the years fitness and strength training have evolved, but one thing remains the same; giving clients the best workout every time! This involves dedication to our craft through education, experience, bring on board great trainers, and fantastic customer service. Our loyal staff of 10 has a combined experience of 124 years and counting!
