The Chemistry of Good Health

Let’s go back to high school science class. Goggles, lab coat, bunsen burners, chemicals, beakers, test tubes, lots of curiosity, a fun lab partner and a teacher who must have been part saint / part mad scientist.

What do health goals and chemistry have in common?  “Failure.”  Health goals can be daunting, but maybe they don’t have to be if we learned anything from science class.

As long as we didn’t blow up the school we were encouraged to “fail.”  The essential tool we were given was to keep an “open mind” and observe the experiment as it unfolded.

The experiment was a “success” if we collected , analyzed then interpreted the data.  This then laid the foundation for the next experiment.  We would still be in the dark had Thomas Edison given up after his first attempt.

The science teacher created a safe place to experiment.  As a health coach I offer clients the opportunity to create their own health goal experiments that are important to them.  “Failures” become opportunities to learn, regroup and set up the next experiment, each time getting one step closer to a healthier life.

If you are ready to put your goggles and lab coat on, I’m ready to be your lab partner.
